Why is shipping ice cream so expensive?

Shipping charges are intended to cover the costs of processing, preparing, packaging, and transporting your order and ARE NOT intended to generate revenue.
We want you to have the best experience receiving your ice cream. That means it’s got to stay frozen on its journey…that means special packaging, dry ice, and 2-Day shipping! All that adds up…but when you dip into your Falk’s container and taste the creamy goodness, your worries will “melt away”!

What kind of packaging do you use?

Your ice cream will arrive in a cardboard box with an insulated insert with dry ice on top of the ice cream. The insulated insert consists of two parts: 1.5” of biodegradable insulation material and an outer mylar (silver) covering. You can reuse the box and insulated insert to keep things cold or hot or you can reuse or recycle the cardboard and dispose of the insert
How do I dispose of the dry ice if there’s still some left in the package?
Very carefully! We put the dry ice in a plastic bag and wrap it in brown paper and it will be on top of your ice cream: It’s the first thing you’ll see when opening the box and the liner. You may put the paper-wrapped dry ice in a bowl and place in a well-ventilated area, away from pets and children. The dry ice will dissipate over time and when gone, you may recycle the brown paper it was wrapped in and reuse or recycle the plastic bag. Do not open and touch the dry ice with your bare hands as it may cause burns from the extreme cold.

When will my ice cream ship out and arrive?

We ship 2-Day Air UPS. We ship Mondays and Tuesdays so your package will arrive Wednesday or Thursday. Special shipping arrangements are available upon request if necessary.
